Radiographic x-ray imaging of the equine foot. The radiographic examination of the equine

Farriers

Heal Equine knows you have that dream farrier rig picked out.

But before you make that move, there's a more advantageous, business decision, that you can make with the same amount of money-if not less. This move, unlike going the farrier rig route, actually increases your revenue, benefits your clients, and helps the horse, while saving your body-which the farrier rig doesn't do.

Hear us out

No foot, no horse. That statement is true in a 2-dimensional frame of mind. We believe for the performance horse it should be "No bony column alignment, no performance horse."

"If it ain't broke, don't fix it."

The horse being resilient and pushing through misaligned joint soreness is a thing. Naturally, as prey animals, the horse will go through leaps and bounds to not show vulnerability.

Heal Equine believes in helping professionals help the horse NOW to prolong their career.

Preliminary radiograph farrier views from the vet are helpful for the farrier to make an educated guess on trim and shoe placement.

Post shoeing radiographs eliminate the guesswork. It also enables them to have the ability to make adjustments or snap more views to precisely achieve what they are looking for. Most of the time, the post shoeing rads are taken weeks/months after the shoeing was done, making them irrelevant with the hoof capsule growing forward since being shoed.

Horse owners are throwing money down the drain

The problem is that having a veterinarian standing around while the farrier is working is very costly for the horse owner which creates the primary barrier of entry for them to do what is best for their horse.

The question we've asked is, "Why doesn't every farrier have their own radiograph equipment since the farrier is already there to perform the shoeing?" It makes more sense for the farrier to charge less for the farrier views, be able to take as much time as needed, and walk away doing the most thorough job possible.

I know you may be thinking, "I would like to do this, but it's so expensive to get set up."

On our quest, we've discovered that to purchase a new set up radiograph equipment, you're looking at $30k-$50k. What we also learned is that the majority of companies selling radiograph equipment, is that they are marking it up a ridiculous amount.

This is the problem Heal Equine has come to solve. Our mission is to get this equipment into the hands of more farriers, without the ridiculous markup, in order to redefine how the industry currently operates.

Let's actually help the horse

"The bigger problems you solve, the more you are compensated". Because you will be helping the horse at a higher level, while simultaneously saving your clients money, you are rewarded.

The farrier's work is much higher quality when they aren't stuck in a rut shoeing and/or trimming too many horses. If services such as PEMF, Red Light therapy, and laser treatment are known to benefit the horses recovering from their athleticism, bony column misalignment, and injuries-why not provide those services while you're at the horse to provide additional revenue to hit your goals and save your back in the process, saving the client money, and ultimately benefitting the horse.

Back to the farrier rig, looks don't help your business. Shoeing out of the back of car, providing more value to your clients, and helping horses at a higher level than your competition does.

Do both. But do this first. And after a few months we promise we won't tell you "We told you so."

Farriers in most states are allowed to utilize Radiograph Equipment after being licensed. The licensing process is fairly simple and inexpensive. We will help guide you through the licensing process. The main law that needs to be reiterated is that as a farrier, you cannot legally diagnose anything. You can only utilize this equipment for trim/shoe placement/alignment. If a pathology is identified with the radiograph equipment you are using, you are only allowed to say "You need the opinion of a licensed veterinarian. Then have the horse owner send the images to the veterinarian for diagnosis.
